Fun Furniture For Friends (FFFF) is the project from Francisco Jordán, which is evolving collection of artisanal objects launched in 2022. It balances clever design with an "economy of means," utilizing simple materials and processes.
Pequeños Puentes Peatonales Portátiles (PPPP) is a project in collaboration with architect @miguel.lantero that reimagines needs and rituals in public space through mysterious and colorful micro-infrastructures. They place it across an improbable stream within a city oasis, transforming the artifact into one of their Small Portable Pedestrian Bridges. In an era of increasingly erratic water cycles, Lantero and Jordán use these imaginative structures to highlight the vital presence of water. The choice of name is poignant: the River Jordan, where Jesus was baptized, remains a sacred site that desperately requires bridges between conflicting lands.
The bridge’s railings are adorned with drawings of intertwined branches, reinforcing the theme of connection between spaces and beings. These are gateways between worlds—gentle affirmations of the landscape that emphasize the necessity of urban water and the singular beauty of a bridge over a river's edge. In a world facing water scarcity, this poetic gesture restores the link between two shores: nature and sophistication, dream and reality. We are merely passing between worlds we hardly know, carrying our borders with us.
